THE SERVICE PROVIDER RESPONSIBILITIES

The Smiling Leash commits to following code of professional conduct outlined by the PDTE code of ethics (www.pdte.eu/about). We agree to provide our services in a quality and timely manner.

The client also agrees to provide the information relevant to the case to the best of their knowledge, follow the recommendations provided to the best of their abilities. The client agrees to provide timely updates and feedback to the Smiling Leash Team to ensure optimal results of our collaboration.

The client is fully responsible for the safety and wellbeing of their dog(s) and takes responsibility for preventing any injuries or harm caused by their dog(s) to others (including humans and animals). The client also carries complete responsibility for any medical care for their dog(s). The client recognizes that the Smiling Leash team members are not veterinary professionals and will refer to their local veterinarian for any medical advice and assistance.

PAYMENT POLICY

The consultant assigned to a specific client will invoice directly and based on the laws and regulations of their country of residence. The payment is made directly to the consultant’s bank account via bank transfer.

WORK METHODS

The Smiling Leash way of working is based on understanding the behaviour, communication and needs of dogs. We do not use punishment, fear, pain or coercion and expect the same from our clients, otherwise cooperation is not possible. You can find more about these ethical principles on the website of the Pet Dog Trainers of Europe organisation, of which we are members: www.pdte.eu/about

The methods we recommend and teach will only reach their full potential if you practise them continuously. During our cooperation, we therefore expect clients not to use other methods of treating the dog, especially those that involve punishment, fear, coercion or pain.

STAYING IN LIVING QUARTERS

Our cooperation is only possible if your dog lives with you in living quarters, (e.g. inside the flat / house and NOT in the garage / garden / kennel), or if you are ready to transition the dog to live inside with you. In case you need our assistance with the transition, this can be a part of the consultation.
